MC4

MC4 are female and male cable connectors for photovoltaics, equipped with crimp contacts and insulating parts. MULTILAM technology ensures high long-term stability and consistently low energy losses throughout the connector’s service life. Available variants allow installation on cables with cross-sections of 2.5–10 mm².

Key advantages of MC4

• MULTILAM contact technology: the maximum connector contact resistance is 0.25 mΩ.
• Electrical parameters according to IEC 62852: voltage of 1000 V DC and current of 22.5–45 A, depending on the variant and conductor cross-section. Variants with ratings according to UL 6703 have a voltage of 1500 V DC and current of 30–50 A.
• Protection rating: IP68 when immersed at a depth of 1 m for 1 hour and IP65; IP2X when disconnected.
• Ambient temperature range: from −40 to +85 °C according to TÜV/UL; the upper temperature limit is 105 °C.
• Crimped connection and snap lock: the contacts are made of tinned copper, and the insulation is made of PC/PA. In accordance with NEC 2020, a tool is required for disconnection.
• Resistance confirmed by testing: ammonia resistance according to DLG and salt mist testing at severity level 6; fire protection class UL94:V-0.
