Battery-Box Premium HVM
Battery-Box Premium HVM is a modular BYD energy storage system based on lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells. It supports on-grid, on-grid with backup power, and off-grid operation. Its modular design allows for expansion, while the patented internal plug-in connection simplifies installation.
Key advantages of Battery-Box Premium HVM
- Scalable usable energy: 8.28–22.08 kWh in a configuration with 3–8 modules; the maximum capacity of the expanded system is 66.2 kWh. The system’s usable energy may depend on the inverter brand.
- Full charge and discharge cycle efficiency: at least 96%.
- Backup power: maximum output current of 50 A and peak current of 75 A for 3 seconds. Power is limited at temperatures from -10 to +5°C.
- Compatibility with single- and three-phase inverters: selection of the device and the required number of modules according to the compatibility list; CAN / RS485 communication.
- Indoor and outdoor installation: IP55 protection rating, floor placement and operating temperature range from -10 to +50°C.
- 10-year warranty: under the terms specified in the BYD Battery-Box Premium limited warranty document.
Who is this a good choice for?
This is an option for users of grid-connected installations who need energy storage or backup power, as well as for users of off-grid systems. Usable DC energy at 100% depth of discharge, 0.2C charging and discharging, and +25°C; usable system energy depends on the inverter. Power is limited between -10°C and +5°C. The two module versions have the same specifications but different weights and can be combined in a single tower. Check the inverter compatibility list for the required number of modules.
