Nexis Battery
Nexis Battery is a modular SolarEdge energy storage system with LiFePO4 cells, designed for single- and three-phase home systems. A configuration comprising 1–4 battery modules in one set allows usable energy capacity to be matched to household needs. An independent power module in each battery module optimizes backup power operation and efficiency.
Key benefits of Nexis Battery
- Scalable usable energy: 4.65–18.6 kWh per set, depending on the number of battery modules; each set requires Battery Link.
- Continuous charging and discharging power: 3.5–13 kW in a single-phase system and 3.5–14 kW in a three-phase system, depending on the configuration. Power may vary with temperature.
- ThermoShield™ technology: designed to prevent thermal runaway from spreading between cells.
- Simple-Click™ connections: self-locking mechanical and electrical connections between battery modules and Battery Link facilitate safe installation.
- Indoor or outdoor installation: IP65 enclosure and operating temperature range from −20 to +55°C. When installed in direct sunlight, the maximum ambient temperature is +45°C; wall mounting requires a separately sold bracket.
- 10-year warranty: detailed terms are set out in the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
Who is this a good choice for?
Nexis Battery is designed for households using a compatible SolarEdge Nexis inverter in a single-phase or three-phase installation. The modular design meets the needs of users selecting their energy storage capacity, while independent power modules are important for those using backup power. The option of indoor or outdoor mounting allows the installation location to be chosen according to the available space and the manufacturer’s requirements.

Charging and discharging power depends on temperature. Efficiency was measured at a cell temperature of 35°C with the fans switched off. Currently, up to 12 blocks in 3 sets are supported per three-phase inverter; support for a fourth set requires a future software update. In direct sunlight, the maximum ambient temperature is 45°C. Wall mounting requires an additional bracket. The expected service life applies to one cycle per day, charging at 0.25 C and discharging at 0.1 C under German climatic conditions.
