Battery module – SMA – ESSX-50-20 – HV
Product details
Commercial Storage Solution
The Commercial Storage Solution from SMA is an integrated energy storage system for businesses, using lithium-ion batteries with Samsung SDI prismatic NMC cells. Built-in energy management enables increased self-consumption and peak shaving, including by combining operating modes. The modular design allows the system to be expanded and used with or without a photovoltaic installation.
Key benefits of Commercial Storage Solution
- Rated AC power 30–50 kW and storage capacity of 32–56 kWh at 100% depth of discharge, depending on the variant.
- Expandability: 8 kWh modules can be added within 6 months of commissioning, increasing capacity to 48–80 kWh; the maximum capacity of the expanded system is 192–320 kWh, depending on the variant.
- Intelligent energy management: self-consumption optimization, peak shaving and combining operating modes help reduce energy costs.
- Free monitoring via Sunny Portal with the ennexOS platform and remote configuration of SMA devices.
- Efficiency up to 98%: both the maximum inverter efficiency and the battery efficiency reach 98%.
- 10-year system warranty after registering the system with SMA; the battery is covered by a 10-year capacity warranty. SMA warranty terms apply.
Who is this a good choice for?
This solution is designed for companies with photovoltaic systems that want to increase their use of self-generated energy, as well as businesses without PV installations seeking to reduce peak power demand. Expandable capacity accommodates planned increases in storage needs, while free monitoring makes it easier to oversee system operation.
