Battery module – SMA – ESSX-EXT-50-20 – HV
Product details
Commercial Storage Solution
The Commercial Storage Solution by SMA is an integrated energy storage system for businesses, using Samsung SDI NMC lithium-ion cells. It enables increased self-consumption and peak load reduction, including by combining operating modes. The modular design allows the system to be expanded and used with or without a photovoltaic installation.
Key benefits of Commercial Storage Solution
- Rated AC power 30–50 kW and initial capacity 32–56 kWh at 100% depth of discharge, depending on the variant.
- Modular capacity expansion: 8 kWh modules can be added within 6 months of commissioning, reaching up to 48–80 kWh, depending on the variant. The maximum capacity after system expansion is 192–320 kWh, respectively.
- Intelligent energy management: self-consumption optimization, peak shaving and combining operating modes help reduce energy costs for businesses.
- Battery efficiency up to 98% and prismatic NMC lithium-ion cells with the DynamiX Battery Optimizer balancing system.
- Free monitoring via Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS and remote parameter configuration of SMA devices.
- 10-year warranty on the system upon registration with SMA and a 10-year battery capacity warranty, in accordance with SMA warranty terms.
Who is this a good choice for?
This solution is designed for companies with photovoltaic systems that want to increase self-consumption and reduce peak loads, as well as businesses without PV installations that need load management. Expandable power and capacity allow the system to adapt to the company’s needs, while free monitoring makes it easier to oversee its operation.
