ESA

ESA by GoodWe is a three-phase all-in-one energy storage system combining an inverter, LFP (LiFePO₄) batteries and intelligent energy management. The series covers power ratings of 5–30 kW and allows storage capacity to be expanded up to 108 kWh, depending on the configuration. The pre-wired, modular design simplifies setup and speeds up commissioning.

Key advantages of ESA

  • Modular expansion: up to 12 battery modules per inverter, with the option to combine batteries of different capacities as well as old and new batteries. In a single-column installation, the limit is 6 modules.
  • Whole-home backup power: dual-port design and switching to backup power in under 4 ms.
  • Intelligent energy management: an AI-based EMS system enables optimization based on dynamic tariffs.
  • Parallel operation: support for grid-connected and off-grid operation.
  • Protection: six-layer safety protection, AFCI 3.0 arc fault protection and an IP66 protection rating. The battery modules feature integrated heating and aerosol fire suppression.
  • Power matched to the inverter: the system’s maximum charging and discharging power is 5–30 kW, depending on the inverter model; it is not the sum of the battery modules’ power ratings.

Who is this a good choice for?

ESA is a solution for households that need energy storage and whole-home backup power. It is also suitable for owners of small commercial properties looking for modular storage with expandable capacity and energy management based on dynamic tariffs.
