Energy storage system – SOLAREDGE – CSS-OU-01-11-CA-197-01
Product details
CSS-OD
CSS-OD from SolarEdge is an energy storage system for grid-connected commercial and industrial facilities. It uses LFP cells, and the cabinet’s total capacity is 197.12 kWh, with a usable capacity of 187.15 kWh. It works with SolarEdge ONE for C&I, which optimizes energy production, storage, and consumption at the facility. The system requires an AC-coupled SolarEdge photovoltaic installation.
Key benefits of CSS-OD
- Flexible power configuration: one or two 50 kW inverters per cabinet; the maximum power with two inverters is limited to 98.5 kW. The system can be expanded to 4 MWh of capacity and up to 1 MW of active power.
- Optimizing energy use: support for increasing self-consumption, reducing peak power demand, tariff optimization, and energy export and import limits. Availability of some features depends on the region.
- Multi-level protection: protection at cell, module, module assembly and cabinet levels, thermal runaway detection and integrated fire detection and suppression mechanisms.
- Sensors and electrical protection devices: flood, door opening, temperature, humidity, CO and smoke detection, as well as protection against reverse polarity, ground faults, leakage currents and surges.
- Preparation for indoor and outdoor installation: factory-assembled and tested cabinet with an IP54 protection rating and a built-in HVAC system. SolarEdge Go software speeds up configuration and commissioning.
- 10-year system warranty: the performance warranty covers 8000 cycles or 10 years down to 70% SoH, in accordance with the manufacturer’s limited warranty terms.
Who is this a good choice for?
CSS-OD is designed for companies managing commercial and industrial facilities with an AC-coupled SolarEdge photovoltaic system. It meets the needs of users seeking to increase self-consumption, reduce peak power demand and manage energy based on tariffs. Expandable capacity and indoor or outdoor cabinet installation allow the configuration to be tailored to the facility’s needs.
