How to read AIKO panel designations?
Each AIKO panel code contains information about the finish variant, product generation and glass type. Here is what the individual symbols mean:
- Series – the first part of the name indicates the intended application:
- Neostar – panels for residential installations (residential)
- Comet – panels for commercial and industrial installations (C&I)
- Stellar – panels for photovoltaic farms (utility-scale)
- Generation number (1, 2 or 3) – the higher it is, the newer the technology.
- Letter indicating the finish:
- S (Super) – Full Black: black frame, black backsheet (top-tier roof aesthetics)
- P (Prime) – black frame, silver backsheet (white backsheet), a balance of elegance and price
- N (Normal) – silver frame, silver backsheet (white backsheet), classic look and lowest price
- “+” — a plus at the end of the code indicates a dual-glass version (double glass). No plus means the standard single-glass design.
- Number (e.g., 450, 460, 475) – the panel’s power rating in watts.

- 1P – first generation, black frame and white backsheet, single glass
