ESA
GoodWe’s ESA is a three-phase all-in-one energy storage system combining an inverter, an LFP (LiFePO₄) battery and intelligent energy management. The series covers a power range of 5–30 kW and storage capacities of 5–108 kWh, depending on configuration. The pre-wired, modular design simplifies configuration and speeds up system commissioning.
Key advantages of ESA
- Energy storage expansion: ability to connect up to 12 battery modules to a single inverter; in a single-column installation the limit is 6 modules.
- Flexible battery mixing: supports modules of different capacities and mixing older and new batteries.
- Whole-home backup power: dual-port design and transfer to backup power in under 4 ms.
- Intelligent energy management: ready to support an AI-based EMS system enabling optimization based on dynamic tariffs.
- System protection: six-layer safeguards, AI-based AFCI 3.0 protection, and IP66 ingress protection.
- On-grid and off-grid operation: supports parallel operation in both modes; the inverter — not the sum of battery module powers — limits the maximum charging and discharging power of the entire system.
Who is this a good choice for?
ESA is designed for households needing energy storage and whole-home backup power, as well as businesses using small commercial sites. The modular expansion allows tailoring storage capacity, and energy management based on dynamic tariffs helps optimize operation.
