Nexis Battery
Nexis Battery is a modular SolarEdge energy storage with LiFePO4 cells, intended for single- and three-phase home systems. The design allows selecting the number of modules for the required capacity, and an independent power module in each block supports backup power operation and efficiency. ThermoShield™ technology is designed to prevent the spread of thermal runaway between cells.
Key benefits of Nexis Battery
- Modular capacity: from 1 to 4 blocks in a single set, providing 4.65–18.6 kWh of usable energy. Each set requires a Battery Link module.
- Charge and discharge power: maximum continuous power is 3.5–13 kW in a single-phase system and 3.5–14 kW in a three-phase system, depending on the number of blocks.
- Cell protection: ThermoShield™ technology is intended to prevent propagation of thermal runaway from one cell to the next.
- Independent power modules: each block contains its own power module, maximizing backup power operation and efficiency.
- Indoor or outdoor mounting: the enclosure is IP65 rated. Floor or wall mounting is possible; wall mounting requires an additional bracket sold separately and is subject to local regulations.
- 10-year warranty: detailed terms are specified in the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
Who is this a good choice for?
Nexis Battery is intended for household users who need energy storage in a single- or three-phase system. Those who want to size capacity to their needs can benefit from the modular design, and users interested in backup power can benefit from the independent power modules in each block.

Efficiency measured at a cell temperature of 35°C with fans off. Support for up to 12 blocks in 3 sets was expected to be available by July 2026; the fourth set requires a software update release. Wall mounting requires an additional bracket. The expected lifetime assumes one cycle per day, charging at 0.25 C and discharging at 0.1 C in Germany’s climate. Models NX-BLCK-5K and NX-BLCK-5K-NB differ only in nominal energy and are mutually compatible.
